When I started this blog it was meant to be about both druids and hunters. Unfortunately, the hunter side of the blog has been quite neglected. I have some trepidation about writing hunter posts. It basically comes down to healing being an art and dps being a science. With my resto druid, I am extremely confident in how I gear, gem, spec and play. Although I enjoy reading about the playstyles and choices of other druids, I have no fear of someone coming to my blog and telling me I’m wrong. For my hunter, I feel very differently. I think I’m a competent hunter and make decent gear and spec choices, but I am by no means min/maxed to the extreme. This is partly because I don’t get to raid on my hunter enough, so I don’t get access to all the gear and emblems I need very quickly (and I’d rather poke myself in the eye than run random heroics every day). With dps there is certainly a right and a wrong way of doing things. I’m worried that I’ll write a hunter post and then some theorycrafter will read it or look at my armory, whip out their fancy math and beat me with it.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on testing out when deterrence works in ICC. Then the other day I found this on Elitist Jerks. Sigh. I think I’ll probably make a post about it anyway as, based on the search terms people are using to find my blog, a lot of people are confused about when Deterrence works.
